This Web-based list provides a one-stop shop to access the comments of the Legislative
Analyst’s Office (LAO) on the budget issues being considered by the Legislature
in
2012. Both budget-related findings
and recommendations are included, but this list is not intended to be a comprehensive
tracking system of all budget items. The LAO will continue to publish various other
written documents analyzing the state budget. The purpose of publishing this list
is (1) to make it easier for the Legislature and the public to access our comments
on budget-related issues and (2) provide an efficient forum for our office to address
more technical, budget issues for which we may not have a formal write-up.
This Web list is designed so it can be filtered by policy area or by department.
It also can be sorted in the order most useful to a user (by clicking on a column
heading), including according to the most recent date an item was updated. Finally,
selected information from the list can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.
