The UC Grant may cover tuition and nontuition expenses. UC uses the program to cover any remaining need after all other financial aid is applied. To estimate the nontuition UC Grant award for 2015-16, we used the actual maximum nontuition cost at UC less the self-help expectation. We grew this amount by 2 percent in each of the following two years.
The Board of Governor's Fee Waiver covers the full credit charge of $46 per unit. Amount shown reflects award for a student taking 30 credits annually.
Nontuition awards typically may cover any living cost, including rent, food, transportation, books, and supplies.
